Requirements:

Service writing experience wanted but not required

Basic computer skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well with all team members including technicians, sales, management, and administration

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Cash and credit card handling experience a plus

Marine industry knowledge/experience wanted but not required

Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred

Purpose:

Supports the service manager in upholding precise and punctual documentation concerning the operational aspects of the service department within the dealership. Addresses customer queries regarding service procedures and produces estimates for repairs. Organizes and oversees work orders to guarantee that technicians are equipped with tasks promptly.

Responsibilities:

· Assist internal and external customers with questions and concerns and provides timely responses.

· Work closely with the service manager to accurately write repair orders

· Talk with customers about their boat concerns and document them

· Photograph customers boats during walk arounds

· Open work orders and maintain control until they are closed or invoiced

· Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff.

· Manage complaints, returns, and resolve customer grievances.

· Ability to write, present and respond to customers and staff members in a professional matter

· Ability to read and interpret work orders and billing statements

· Maintain a clean work environment

· Be able to step in where needed as necessary
