Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate accounting. This position requires in office work three days each week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting
Completes data entry of invoices into accounting system.
Verifies W-9’s for new vendors prior to processing invoices.
Assists with credit card reconciliations, including matching receipts with credit card statement.
Contacts employees for missing receipts.
Assists with monthly bank reconciliations.
Assists with annual 1099 preparation.
Provides support within the Finance Department as required.
Other
Processes SNAP benefits on a monthly basis to ensure timely receipt of funds.
Abides by Code of Conduct, which incorporates the corporate compliance section.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse people, including staff, vendors and others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time using a computer.
