What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at STARPLUS ENERGY?
At StarPlus Energy, a joint venture between Samsung/Stellantis, join us in establishing the first plant of its kind in Indiana. As Production Planner you will play a leading role in our company’s positive culture by helping us create an effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an electric future. The Production Planner is responsible for leading the daily operations associated with plant production control activities including: Parts Follow-Up, Plant Scheduling, Engineering Change Management, Inventory Records, and Shipping/Receiving. This role directly supports daily production, this individual acts as the centralized resource for Plant Production and Quality Operations, Procurement Operations, Corporate Logistics, Corporate Scheduling, and Engineering.
* Understand production schedules and customer requirements, and new trial activity - then calculate required amounts of material.
* Review current inventory in-house and PO’s for supplier orders
* Schedule shipping plans for battery module shipments to customers
* Work with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement on part availability
* Coordinate new delivery plans with suppliers as needed when production plans are not achieved; negotiate storage plans with suppliers when there are severe production plan changes after orders have been placed
* Assess overall capacity to develop recovery plans when delivery performance or quality falls below target
* Address any issues with lead times, logistics, and deliveries
* Produces reporting and cost analysis as needed
* Provide support for special projects as required
* All other duties as assigned
