The Manager, Educare Fundraising Partnerships manages and executes joint fundraising initiatives in the national Educare Network, working closely with Network members and the Start Early development team. The Manager also develops and facilitates opportunities for peer learning and knowledge exchange among local fundraising staff across the Network.
Reporting to the Vice President, Educare Fundraising Partnerships you will:
- In partnership with the Vice President, manage and advance collaborative fundraising efforts across the national Educare Network working closely with Educare schools and partners. Identify, cultivate and solicit potential funders, in collaboration with Educare Network members and Start Early’s development team. Generate and submit funding applications, reports and other donor correspondence.
- Liaison with Educare schools on collaborative fundraising opportunities, including those that originate from the national level (Start Early) as well as from the local and regional levels and which span foundation, corporate and major gifts opportunities. Partner with Network members, Start Early development and the Network’s long-term philanthropic partners to continuously build a pipeline of viable funding prospects. Develop and implement prospect cultivation and solicitation plans. Ensure fundraising activities reflect the shared guidelines, policies and protocols the Network has put in place to organize, promote participation and ensure transparency in joint fundraising efforts.
- Track and report progress toward collective fundraising goals and regularly communicate progress to key stakeholders in the Network and at Start Early Document, successes and challenges to inform continuous improvement of Educare’s collaborative fundraising approach.
- Organize and support peer to peer learning opportunities for local Educare fundraisers across the country. Facilitate knowledge sharing around fundraising strategies, resources and professional development efforts among local fundraisers across the Network. Build out and leverage the Network’s digital library and online community space to promote peer exchange in fundraising work.
- Serve as an external spokesperson with potential new donors and prospects, communicating the Educare Network’s vision, leadership, impact and innovative work in early learning to strengthen our case for support and investment.
Qualifications:
- B.A. in social sciences, social work, education, communications, business management, liberal arts. M.A. preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, communications and/or marketing. Experience fundraising in a federated network of organizations preferred but not required.
- Fundraising for Non-profit organizations. Experience with grant writing and donor cultivation. Strong communication skills and a track record building and maintaining relationships with funders and partners.
- Deep commitment in advancing diversity, racial equity, and inclusion into organizational routines and practice.
- Effectively establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
- Comfort and experience in handling risk and uncertainty to move work forward.
Salary: $73,000-$80,000
