What You Will Be Doing
Under general direction of the Deputy Director, Health Administration, this position has primary responsibility for eligibility reporting and managing Health Team operations necessary to administer the insurance plans managed by the Division of Retirement & Benefits.
This position will require you to:
- Understand and participate in creating, tracking, and managing multiple priorates.
- Handle and safeguard confidential information.
- Organize, prioritize, and address a very broad range of situations and use of independent judgment, discretion and analytical ability to determine an effective solution.

The Division of Retirement and Benefits administers State of Alaska and political subdivision retirement and benefit plans so that customers experience excellent, accurate, and timely service; and members understand the value of, and effectively manage, their retirement and health benefits. The Health Team, that you will be a member of, administers the Alaskacare insurance plans and Voluntary Supplemental Benefit plans on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Administration to industry standards.

This position is office-based in Juneau. The work is expected to be performed in-person at the State Office Building.
