Job Summary:
This position is responsible for arranging staff travel arrangements to include airfare, hotel and ground transportation needs.
This includes the following:
Makes hotel and air reservations and arrangements for ground transportation, when needed, for all agency staff
Follows the policies and procedures of SAAM in provision of travel customer support.
Creates travel packets for arrangements
Gathers receipts to prepare and submit travel claims for reimbursement
Cross-trains in one or more of the organizational administrative position (Procurement)
Other duties as assigned
Training and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of administrative support position
Travel or Purchasing experience (preferred)
Licensing/Certifications Requirements
Must be able to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card
as position requires by policy or Statute
Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
Knowledge Of
Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
Principles and practices of administration and management
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
Travel arrangements in accordance with SAAM practices and procedures
Policies, procedures and programs of the immediate work unit
Principles and practices of administration and management
Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
Governmental contracts and lease agreements
Accounting practices and principles to complete duties effectively
Participates in performance improvement activities
Working knowledge of computer basics such as Microsoft Office or Google Workplace and the ability to learn new computer programs specific to our operation within three months of hire.
