Seasonal Maintenance Park Aide
Job Posting for Seasonal Maintenance Park Aide at State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation
This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and be led by the permanent maintenance staff.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to: performing various housekeeping, groundskeeping, and minor maintenance tasks within park grounds and facilities; operating light vehicles; accounting for supplies used; completing miscellaneous reports; answering questions of the public and explaining park rules and regulations.
The Park Maintenance Aide will keep facilities clean and perform general unskilled maintenance within the Topanga Sector and Angeles District necessary to ensure that public health and safety standards are maintained.
Candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays. This position is Seasonal and may either work up to 189 days or 1500 hours in a 12-month period. This position is subject to DOJ live scan fingerprint clearance. Successful candidates will be required to purchase and wear a State Park uniform to comply with department standards.
This position requires a valid California Class “C” Driver’s license certification and a good driving record. Please provide proof of eligibility with application.
Pay: From $16.92 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
