Description of Job
This position acts as the lead person on the following shift: Tuesday-Saturday 4:00pm-12:30am am with up to a 20% shift differential eligibility (7.5% differential on 3 days, 20% on other two), performing general custodial duties which include but are not limited to: coordinating with department personnel; providing one-on-one training for new employees on procedures for cleaning campus buildings, chemical usage, and custodial policies and procedures; ordering and stocking supplies; monitoring safe usage of equipment by employees; conducting monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and exit lights; removing snow from stairs and entrances; collecting trash from designated areas and transporting by truck to the compactor; setting up/cleaning up for campus events; and other related duties as assigned. Provides supervision to custodians in the absence of the supervisor which includes assigning work, providing direction, giving access to keys, and acting as the contact person for after-hours snow removal and events. In addition, this position may be trained in power lift operation to assist with window cleaning and dusting of high areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
One year of custodial experience. (Part-time experience will be pro-rated.) Your experience must be clearly documented on your application. One year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
