Human Resources Coordinator

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing various administrative tasks, verifying and entering personnel transactions and/or position actions, and resolving related problems. This position will also provide reports required for data analysis (by using HRIS reporting). This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment. This position is located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates hiring processes and ensures all required forms are completed
  • Reviews and processes personnel and/or position transactions
  • Provides support for organizational exit and prepares separation notices
  • Maintains personnel files and records
  • Provides data and reports by running HR queries, completes required reports
  • Coordinates human resources processes such as benefits, transactions, leave, workers compensation, performance evaluations, or payroll.
  • Confirms accuracy of HRIS data through routine audits.
  • Responds to inquiries about the technical colleges/system office and its employees.
  • Assist with other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience.

Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience within the human resources department in Georgia state government
  • Experience using Teamworks (PeopleSoft) to process HR transactions and run queries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

WORK DEMANDS

  • Occasional travel required for attendance at training, attendance at conferences, and/or professional development.
