Location: 800 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
As a Parts Worker, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service which includes receiving orders from customers, answer phones, assisting customers at the walk-in counter, responding to emails.
- Process incoming freight by unload the freight off the truck, count the product received, verify freight to the purchasing order
- Unload bulk inventory and non-inventory items using forklifts (e.g. wood sign posts, metal sign posts, snow blades, traffic paint, wood snow fence and calcium).
- Unload and process B equipment (e.g. snow blowers, blades, brine tanks, etc.)
- Serve as a backup driver, using a semi-tractor, flatbed, RGN, or van trailer to deliver supplies/equipment to DOT Maintenance shops and other political subdivision customers. Overnight stay is required.
- Help with random Cycle counts Items must be counted for accuracy.

Designated positions in this class require possession of a valid Commercial Learner's Permit upon hire. Within a timeframe determined by the appointing authority, a valid Commercial Driver's License with the required endorsements and applicable restrictions must be obtained and subsequently maintained to continue employment.
