Introduction
We at the Potomac Center/SETT facility provide quality person-centered supports to adults with intellectual disabilities at our campus in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our aim is to partner with the community to help our residents achieve their goals. The Potomac Center is a 62-bed licensed Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). This program focuses on using therapeutic interventions to empower residents as they learn the skills they need to successfully return to community living. The Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) Program, located within the Potomac Center campus, is a 32-bed licensed Forensic Residential Center that provides services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and court involvement within a safe and secure environment. The program provides assistance as they resolve their court involvement and work toward transitioning to a less secured environment. The SETT utilizes active treatment as well as providing evaluation, assessment and competency attainment education.

POSITION DUTIES
This position will help each person achieve their best possible nursing and mental health management skills, and insure the resident’s health is priority. This position shall participate in the provision/assessment of requisite medical services commensurate with individuals' needs and reflective of sound nursing judgment and applicable protocols. This position will be called upon to respond to a myriad variety of medical and mental health issues or concerns. This position, as necessary, must personally respond to emergency situations in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards, issuing necessary instructions to subordinate staff in the process. This position will be assigned to any of three (3) shifts or some combination thereof and will be scheduled for holidays, weekends, mandated time and/or overtime. This position will be required to conduct or provide on-site services for assessment, monitoring, medication, report taking/giving, or for other reasons or purposes. This position may be called upon to provide or participate in a variety of programmatic or administrative functional roles including such rights-related issues as MANDT implementation. When assigned to third shift (i.e., 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) and at other designated times, this position shall be lead on-grounds medical staff. This position will be responsible for discharging all duties and conducting oneself at all times per all relevant Regulations, Standards, Policies and Procedures including: Departments of Budget and Management and Mental Health and Hygiene; Title 17 CODE OF MARYLAND REGULATIONS; MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING; Office of Health Quality; ICF-IID; Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services; The Council on Quality and Leadership in Supports for People with Intellectual Disabilities at Potomac Center/SETT. To efficaciously fulfill totality of duties enumerated herein in timely and prescribed manner, following are deemed ESSENTIAL condition precedents:� •\tReporting per schedule on a regular and continuing basis inclusive of Holidays, weekends, overtime, etc. per EMERGENCY STATUS requirements;� •\tWillingness and ability to personally perform physically demanding tasks requiring lifting, transferring, supporting, engage in MANDT treatment, rounding to cottages in all types of weather.� •\tMonitoring associates provision of programmatic and personal care services in accordance with Center standards and policies.� •\tEnsuring accountability throughout shift for staff and oncoming shift and Individuals.� •\tEmployee injury – IWIF (Injured Workers Insurance Fund) reports to OHCQ.� •\tKeep Cottage Managers /Nursing Director/ADON informed of questions/problems/issues arising over course of shift.� Per the Amended Directive and Order Regarding Vaccination (MDH # 2023.04.18.03)�issued by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health,�effective April 18, 2023, staff in all�hospitals and residential facilities operated by the Maryland�Department�of Health or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractual employees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performing any duties at the facility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:�� Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. Experience: None.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. 2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. 3. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
