This position functions under the direction of the division director, as the State Administrative Manager for the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. This position directs the day-to-day work activities of the communications staff. Coordinates the communication team in developing and disseminating internal and external agency messages and supports brand development and awareness. Ensures that all communication channels are consistent in messaging and in compliance with agency and State of Michigan policies. Develops measurable communications plans and reports metrics to the division director. Assess engagement and review the suitability of departmental messaging to internal staff, external partners and the veteran community.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.View the job specification at: https://www.michigan.gov/-/media/Project/Websites/mdcs/JOBSPECS/S/StateAdministrativeManager.pdf
