Job Posting for Law Clerk at State of Minnesota Board of Public Defense
Law clerks may office in either a district office or the appellate office. The work depends on the district you work in and your work is managed by either a Chief Public Defender or Managing Attorney or Assistant Public Defender.Students will be involved in providing direct services to clients from the many communities we serve, under the supervision of experienced attorneys. Some of the duties of the position include legal research, drafting briefs, assisting in trial preparation, and going to court.Interest in working with a diverse community and indigent clients.Must be currently enrolled and attending law school from an accredited law school. Coursework in legal writing, criminal law and /or procedures is desired, but not required
