We need a part-time Accounts Assistant who is “Always on Mission” to serve our Veterans. Hourly Wage: $17.82
Qualifications: 1 – 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or other relevant field that would provide:
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices
- Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions
- Ability to identify and resolve transactional issues
- Ability to maintain automated and manual financial records
Examples of Work:
- Verify accuracy of invoices, deposits, withdrawals, and checks and document in Excel
- Provide information regarding financial options and responsibilities when Veterans move into the Home
- Manage Veteran trust accounts, financial records, and petty cash
- Communicate with family members, staff, and vendors about the Veteran’s financial matters
- Receive and reconcile the cash box from dietary and other departments
- Operate Home’s office equipment and accurately input data into its software programs
- Copy checks and receipts for processing deposits and take to the bank
- Maintain high level of trust and accountability with the Home’s and Veterans’ finances
