Purpose of Position
Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.
Why does the job exist?
This position will focus on expanding and enhancing communication capabilities beyond the standard forms of state communication practices and methods; by creating video, photography, radio, live stream, Internet and graphic design which will be implemented both internally and externally to compliment and coincide with written news releases.
How does it get done?
Creation of on set videos, photography and radio spots in a professional production environment Managing and editing final version of press releases Developing marketing plans to utilize social media outlets to promote the New Mexico Department of Transportation Documenting events, meetings, presentations, social media posts, artwork and portrait photos for the New Mexico Department of Transportation Utilizing Graphic Design and specialized software to enhance messages, annual legislative reports, newsletters and presentations

Minimum Qualification
A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Working Conditions
Executive Order 2021-066 requires all employees with the State of New Mexico to provide either proof of COVID-19 vaccination (including proof of a booster dose of vaccine by January 17, 2022, or within four weeks of becoming eligible for a booster dose) or proof of a COVID-19 viral test every week.
The Public Health Order (on Vaccination) dated December 2, 2021, requires Congregate Care Facility Workers and Hospital Workers to have received a primary series of vaccination by October 6, 2021, and a booster dose of vaccine by January 17, 2022, or within four weeks of becoming eligible for a booster.
