What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Plant Manager position at State of North Carolina?
This position serves as the Assistant Plant Manager for the North Carolina Correction Enterprises Sampson/Chase Laundry. This plant is responsible for laundering linen for NCDPS Prisons across North Carolina. The primary purpose of the CEM II is the direct supervision of the production floor. This position assists the Laundry Manager in organizing and directing the operation of the laundry to include developing work schedules and transportation for inmate laborers, assigning inmates and personnel to various work assignments, maintaining an adequate inventory, prioritizing work and planning g for the effective use of equipment, personnel and space. In addition, this position will spend a great deal of time ensuring that the inmate laborers are adequately trained, and accurate pay records are kept. This position is responsible for maintaining a pro per washroom operation. In order to accomplish this schedule titration and pump calibration system must be maintain and documentation kept. This position is for Sampson Laundry located in Clinton, NC. However, it will be temporarily working out of Chase Laundry in Goldsboro NC until Sampson Laundry is back in operation.

Must be at least 20 years of age and a citizen of the United States. Must possess a valid driver's license. Pass Psychological testing as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Pass Physical Examination as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Pass Drug Screening as required by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Attend and successfully complete (6) weeks of Basic Correctional Officer Training (BCOT) at a Training Facility. Employees shall be scheduled for BCOT during their 2nd month of employment.
