We're seeking a creative and strategic thinker to manage our social media presence, produce stunning graphics and videos, and lead our e-communication efforts.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with , including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement.
**This position has a recruitment range of $40,000 - $60,000 **
This position has been designated as Exempt in accordance with North Carolina General Statute

The Communications & Digital Marketing Specialist partners with the Customer Experience and Communications Team to develop and disseminate various types of information using a wide variety of communication methods and media to educate members and increase their awareness of State Health Plan benefits.
In this role you will:Manage and oversee all social media accounts, which includes creating compelling content, analyzing metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, and adjust strategies accordingly.Use a variety of technical skills to complete graphics and video production, including Adobe Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for digital and printed materials.Lead the external newsletter/e-communication strategy, which includes serving as a writer and editor for the Plan's two electronic monthly newsletters.Serve as the internal communication lead, managing the staff's internal newsletter, ensuring information related to the Plan available on the department's intranet is accurate and updated.Assist with the development of materials for initiatives including video scripts, telephone town hall scripts, narrating audio PowerPoint presentations, and updating the Plan's website as needed with new information.About Us The for Teachers and State Employees, a division of the Department of State Treasurer (DST), provides health care coverage to more than 743,000 teachers and local school personnel, state employees, retirees, current and former lawmakers, state university and community college faculty and staff, and their dependents.

Customer Experience and Communications Team
is responsible for responding to members, employing unit, and Health Benefits Representative (HBR) legislative inquiries, along with the planning and implementation of communication and marketing efforts for Plan benefits, programs, and policies, to ensure the best overall member experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Experience in writing and developing marketing (digital and print) materials.Experience in video production and editing.Experience with principles of graphic design.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) for digital and printed materials.Demonstrated success in creating ideas and scripts in working with complex ideas.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Management PreferencesExperience in health care, insurance, benefits, or related industry.Experience in developing and writing communication and marketing materials related to health care, health insurance, or benefits.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
