What You'll Do:
Assists Human Capital Management (HCM) Manager &/or Senior Analyst by carrying out specific human resources (HR) functions at Summit Behavioral Healthcare (SBH): Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for employee benefits (e.g. Dependent Care Program, Flexible Spending Account, Open Enrollment, Wellness Ambassador), schedule & organize annual open enrollment health fair & processes open enrollment health forms, notifies employees of dental/vision/health plan options & eligibility; completes benefit surveys as assigned; Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), monitors requests for leave for physician verification & compilation of FMLA hours, counsels & assists employees in completion of appropriate forms, completes, processes & files documents for benefits, advises employees on criteria for extended leave & procedures for direct payment of health insurance premiums. Backup contact for employee benefits e.g, Workers’ Compensation, Transitional Work Program, Disability Leave Benefits, Occupational Injury Leave, & leaves of absence.
Performs related administrative duties: Assists in the scheduling/interviewing/hiring process of new employees: Schedules interviews, may sit on interview panel; conducts HR orientation (e.g., policies & procedures, employee services, benefits & work-place expectations) to new employees. Completes employment verification forms on active/inactive employees. Order supplies/equipment (e.g., completes storeroom orders & maintains inventory of general office supplies, orders low-cost supplies & equipment through fiscal purchasing agent or direct contact with established vendors for bids & completes request to purchase (RTP) orders). Maintains OhioMHAS/SBH forms drawers and keeps forms up-to-date. Maintains I-9 files (inactive). Making sure all employee files are up to date. Assists with HR filing needs in employee files.
Coordinate exit interviews with staff that have resigned or are retiring. Complete the Separation Checklist (e.g., updating files, pulling I-9 active and putting in in-active, processing the separation PA through ePAR, etc.)
