What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baking & Pastry Instructor position at State of South Carolina?
The Instructor reports directly to the Culinary and Hospitality Division Dean and is responsible for the delivery of quality instruction and management of students enrolled in any Culinary, Baking and Pastry, and/or Hospitality program. Responsibilities occur in the area of instructional development, teaching performance, student advisement, college and community service, instructional management and professional development.
Required: Must be ServSafe Manager certified. Possess an Associate's Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and/or Culinary Arts from a nationally/regionally accredited college or university. 5 years of documented/verifiable paid work experience within the past 7 years in the culinary or baking and pastry field, with at least one year in a management position. Candidates must pass a criminal background check. Candidates may be required to submit a valid Driver's License, proof of insurability, and/or a driver's history report for positions involving state travel. Candidate must also be able to obtain CCC or CWPC or higher certification with the American Culinary Federation within three years of hire date.
