What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Services Specialist III (ONIT) position at State of South Carolina?
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Central Office, 2414 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
As the IT Services Specialist III, working under general supervision, you will provide technical assistance, consultation, and training on DMH approved hardware and software to various levels of staff in the Administration building.
Responsibilities for this IT Services Specialist III include but are not limited to:
- Performs Desktop support for the Administration building.
- Performs Network Services Help Desk functions.
- Conducts interviews with users to define needs and make recommendations to support users needs.
- Provides IT support for CRCF, TLC, and CCRI programs.
- Communicates information from Network Services to various levels of staff in the supported areas.
- Assists in administration of various communication systems and equipment.
- Supports MacOS software and devices.
A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
