This position provides administrative support for the attorneys at the Office of Attorney General. It provides secretarial/clerical duties using legal terminology, procedures and documents which includes typing, proofing, and/or finalizing confidential and sensitive letters, memo, legal documents and legal forms (e.g. summons, complaints, subpoenas, briefs, warrants, notices of hearings, responses); electronically files legal documents in the South Dakota and District Courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, utilizing each court's electronic filing system; researching information using various sources for legal documents, forms, etc.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A dependable, friendly, approachable and positive attitude and is able to conduct themselves in a professional manner with the public and in an office environment. The candidate will be able to work independently, keep on track and accomplish tasks without direct supervision.

This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.

- Applicant must be proficient at typing and Microsoft Office products.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with office personnel; ability to work independently on assignments with accuracy; ability to pass a background investigation.
