Internal audit is an independent objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve DIDDs operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Completes planning, fieldwork, and reporting processes for audit engagements with a team and independently.
- Communicates with Department staff and leadership to gather information relevant to audit engagements.
- Participates in team activities and provides feedback, ideas, and suggestions.
- Maintains productivity whether in the office, in the field, or working remotely.
- Evaluate, analyze, organize, and process data/information.
- Develop objectives and strategies.
- Monitor internal controls for weaknesses, efficiency, and potential issues.
- Organize, prioritize, and plan work assignments.
- Communicate verbal or written results to business owners.
- Identify potential risks within the Department.
- Work both independently and with peers.
- Travel throughout the state for onsite audit work, interviews, and internal control monitoring.
- Complete 40 hours of CPE per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional license such as CFE, CIA or CISA.
- IT audit experience is a plus.
- 5 years plus of internal audit experience.
- Knowledge of HighBond audit software.
Required Experience:
- Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Internal Controls monitoring.
- Knowledge of the Red Book and Green Book.
- Prior Audit experience.
