Introduction
Our Child and Family Programs provide a variety of services for families with children. We assist in coordinating supervision for juveniles, abused or neglected children, assist with counseling, parenting, groups for youth, case management, summer youth activities and assist with finding appropriate community resources and more intensive programs as needed.
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to guide, monitor, and supervise Child Protective Services, Juvenile Court Intake, Kinship Care programming, and Community Response Programming for Jefferson County Human Services. To be successful in this position, you will be focusing on the below responsibilities:
- Supervises staff, recommending employment decisions in terms of hiring and disciplining, coaches and mentors employees for optimal performance and success, completing performance evaluations and setting short- and long-term goals. Provides initial and on-going training to all unit staff. This includes the Community Response Programming (CRP) team.
- Directs, assigns, and monitors social work intake staff and teams providing Court Intake Services according to Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 48 and Chapter 938.
- Provides Intake Services plans; develops, implements, and updates program policies.
- Coordinates Intake Services with other agency and out-of-agency programs and services.
- Assists with annual Intake Services budget preparation. Monitors revenues and expenditures on an ongoing basis; approves payments to contractors and providers.
Salary Information
Starting Salary: $79,153-88,198 annually, negotiable based on credentials and experience

Qualifications
Qualifications Needed:
- Six to eight years related experience and/or training and a bachelor's degree or higher with a Degree in Social Work or Counseling or Human Services Related field, or equivalent education and knowledge.
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree or higher in Social Work or Counseling or Human Services Related field and six to eight years related experience with proven experience in a leadership role.
