This is an advanced level return auditor position responsible for reviewing return audits of individual income and credit claims. This position acts as unit lead worker over positions responsible for preparing notices of assessment or refund based federal audit reports and similar pre-defined return adjustments. In addition, this position provides technical and systems assistance and training to staff in the Individual Income Tax Section.

Starting salary will be between $33.87 and $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits. For information on state benefits click here. Current state employees' pay will be set in accordance with pay upon appointment provisions of the compensation plan for broadband pay schedule/range 07-03. A 24-month probationary period may be required.
The department will conduct a background check, fingerprint check and tax compliance check prior to making an offer to hire. Interview results may be reused in accordance with the State of WI interview reuse policy.
