Essential Functions
Note: The essential duties and primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Incumbents may perform all or most of the primary accountabilities listed below. Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the incumbent’s performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent’s immediate supervisor or manager.
1. Assist with processing biweekly, multi-state payroll including garnishments, payroll adjustments, reimbursements, bonuses, taxes and commissions through payroll system to include check printing and posting to the General Ledger. Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Time system to payroll system and reconcile variances. Audit and reconcile payroll documents for employees.
2. Assist with processing weekly employee expense reimbursements. Process off-cycle payments, research and respond to telephone inquiries within 24 hours.
3. Assist Payroll Specialist to ensure new pay is done consistently with state/federal regulations and company policies. Review analyze and check payroll forms and reports for accuracy. Support the distribution of paychecks and payroll reports. Research, analyze and resolve payroll-related problems or questions. Issue W-2 wage and tax statement reprints.
4. Provide support to field, internal, and interdepartmental staff to resolve payroll inquiries.
5. Assist with processing wage assignments, acting as a liaison with an outside vendor.
6. Assist in the preparation of annual reports for 401k. Assists with the coordination of the timely completion and filing of year-end 1099’s and payroll year end reporting, including preparing the annual 401k reports.
7. Communicate timely and professionally with various departments and branch locations regarding payroll. i.e. timecards, on call and other matters as needed.
8. Strong written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Must be able to work accurately and efficiently.

1. Participates in on-going staff meetings, training activities and continuing education to maintain relevant understanding and knowledge of business operations, related procedures and processes.
2. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
