Job Description

Our team is a part of the business area “Markets & IT” in Statkraft, which we simply call “M”. M delivers market solutions for renewable energy – connecting Statkraft and other power producers with consumers.   M has more than 800 employees in Europe, South America, India and the USA. 

Statkraft has established a Corporate Compliance unit to promote compliance with laws and regulations on business ethics, anti-corruption, anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, economic sanctions, and competition. This is a centralised function, consisting of 11 professionals who deliver services to business areas throughout the company.

As Business Ethics Compliance Manager in M, you will work closely with the Corporate Compliance unit to promote compliance in this important business area. The Business Ethics Compliance Manager will report to the Head of Compliance for Market Regulations in M. The position will be based at Statkraft Lilleaker headquarters in Oslo Norway.

Your role will be, in collaboration with the Corporate Compliance unit, to promote compliance in M by:

• engaging M management in evaluating the department’s key compliance risks
• supporting M management in designing and implementing fit-for-purpose compliance initiatives to mitigate the risks
• supporting the provision of training, dilemma discussions and awareness-raising
• working with M and the Corporate Compliance unit to implement compliance initiatives
• serving as a point of contact for employees in M regarding compliance issues - leveraging the expert support of the corporate Compliance unit
• providing various reports regarding the status of compliance and related initiatives

Qualifications

• Relevant University or Master’s degree
• Compliance or other relevant experience within an international trading environment
• Experience from trading, origination, dispatch, treasury or risk monitoring would be an advantage
• Good understanding of business ethics rules and regulations
• Project experience would be an advantage
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written. Norwegian or other European languages is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, solution driven, confident, highly motivated
• Self-motivated team player, able to operate independently
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic international environment
