What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Steam Logistics?
The Opportunity
The Credit Analyst role will have a strong emphasis on organization and a high level of attention to detail.
You must be able to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time and be self-motivated.
You must have the ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably in a fast-paced environment.

This position will have daily interaction with Steam vendors, customers and team members, and effective communication is of the utmost importance.
So, what will I be doing exactly?
- Analyze financial information of companies throughout credit databases to assess credit worthiness of new and existing customers.
- Make analytical decision on when to increase, decrease, or put credit on hold.
- Will be responsible for entering new customers into our TMS systems and ensuring all required information is entered.
- Will complete required setup documents received from customers so we may mutually work together.
- Will work internally with accounting teams to learn of past due customers and educate sales team of their customer’s payment experiences.
- Will assist with credit cards and ensuring transactions are being accounted for.
- Evaluating credit hold request emails and determining when to release or to deny release of credit holds.
- Owning the customer setup inbox and responding to inquiries within a timely manner.
- Managing Euler Hermes credit database and checking accuracy of limits between database and TMS systems.
- Owning the receipts inbox for credit card payments and confirming correct amounts are being entered into our systems, posting transactions to ledger accounts, and assisting with finding missing payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a finance field of study strongly preferred.
- Intermediate Excel skills with a desire to grow these skills to advanced.
- Knowledge of Index/Match, Pivot Table creation, and Conditional Formatting
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and potential to go beyond the described role as the team responsibilities evolve.
- Prior logistics experience is preferred/recommended.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in the English language
