What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Store Manager - Cranberry position at Steel City Brand?
Steel City is growing! We are looking for a Store Manager to lead our Cranberry store. This position will require a strong leader that is obsessed with the customer experience and story of our newest location. The best candidates will have a small business owner's mentality and will take pride in leading a first-class clothing boutique.
You will need to lead a team that drives sales and connects with their customers. You will need to create relationships and find ways to bring customers into the store. You will need to keep the store on-brand by following merchandising, training, HR, and customer service procedures. You will take it personally if the store doesn't hit its goals, isn't up to merchandising standards or doesn't have the right inventory assortment. You will kick down doors to fix problems and ensure that the store succeeds. You will be proactive, coachable and will always lead with a positive attitude.
Here's what you'll need to be able to do:
Manage:
- Lead a staff composed of an Assistant Store Manager, Team Lead, and team members
- Develop a bench. Train and grow your team.
- Manage the store's budget
- Create weekly staffing schedules
- Communicate with landlord, property manager, contractors, etc.
- Create a fun and dynamic experience for customers and team members
- Collaborate with the rest of the Steel City team - Operations, Merchandising, Warehouse, Marketing
- Consistently look for ways to improve our systems and processes
Sell:
- Always be training team members on selling skills and best practices
- Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales goals and KPI's with the team
- Increase sales by starting conversations with our customers that can lead to upsell opportunities
- Keep team members focused on the customer experience over tasks and projects
- Lead by example in demonstrating exemplary customer service
- Analyze sales reports to understand trends in order to staff the store accordingly
Merchandise:
- Ensure the store is always merchandised, cleaned and restocked properly
- Analyze sales reports to understand trends in order to merchandise the store accordingly
- Use visual merchandising guidelines to ensure our displays tell a story and are on-brand
- Own stock rooms and inventory processes
- Communicate inventory needs with Merchandising team
- Work cross-functionally to ensure product launches are cohesive
Requirements
- 4 years of retail management experience required
- Previous experience managing direct reports required
