Schedule: 2-2-3
Pay: $22 /hr. (based on experience)

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in Peachtree City, GA. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that has a lot of opportunities to grow within the company.

Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment/process issues.
  • Adjust equipment to meet quality standards.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
  • Monitor equipment performance and document findings.
  • Assist with production, new product development, and testing.
  • Assemble, modify, install, and connect auxiliary equipment.
  • Utilize electronic test equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Maintain Cognex vision system.
  • Read and interpret PLC ladder diagrams.
  • Transfer electronic files to equipment.
  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment using PLC ladder logic.
  • Adhere to environmental, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Follow OSHA, fire safety, and EPA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent training
  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial or Electrical Maintenance Technology preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude
  • Hands-on metal fabrication skills
  • Proficiency in using maintenance and repair tools, machining equipment, and precision measurement instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong work ethic and team orientation
  • Understanding of electric motors, conveyors, gears, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • HVAC experience a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and company policies
