Title: Quality Engineer

Compensation: $75k-85k/year

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer for a manufacturer of complex precision machined components in Elk Grove Village, IL. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience being in a machining environment. This is a great opportunity to work with a rapidly growing company.
Job Duties:
- Understands and ensures accuracy and repeatability of inspection equipment
- Proficient in interpreting customer drawings, parts lists, and BOMs, specializing in GD&T
- Skilled in reporting, supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
- Mentors quality technicians and shop personnel, sharing customer-provided information
- Experienced in creating balloon drawings, First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102 format
- Coordinates and manages customer source inspections
- Reports out-of-tolerance conditions, conducts RCCA activities
- Assists with gage R&R activities, capability studies
- Controls non-conforming material activities, coordinates RMA process
- Committed to continuous improvement of processes, QMS effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Experienced in creating balloon drawings, First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102 format
- Understands inspection equipment accuracy and repeatability for product verification
- Ability to interpret customer drawings, parts lists, and BOMs, with GD&T expertise
- Proficient in reporting, supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
- Communicates with customer representatives to address and solve quality-related issues
