Moyer Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and other administrative tasks. You will be performing intermediate accounting operations, as well as creating and maintaining accounting reports. Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office, show full attention to accuracy in detailed processes, perform effectively and efficiently, and have the willingness to change in routine. - Accurately record financial transactions related to vehicle sales, purchases, and other financial activities in our accounting system
- Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting documentation and files
- Reconcile schedules
- Post accounts payable invoices into the accounting system and reconcile accounts on a weekly/monthly basis
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies
- Assist with financial projects and analysis as required
- Two-year accounting degree or applicable work experience. High School diploma required
- Automotive dealership accounting experience is a huge plus
- Ability to understand and absorb new information quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills
- Must have the ability to work well with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines
