This person will assemble mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations. Conducts more complex production tasks such as operating multiple machines. Performs minor machine maintenance..
Some examples of the shifts available are listed below (this is not all shifts) -
- A / B / C / D
either 6:00am to 6:00pm OR 6pm to 6am. Typical 3 week schedule -
- Sat/Sunday work, Mon/Tues off-no work / Wed-Thurs-Friday work
- Second week – Sat/Sun off-no work , Mon- Tues work/ Wed -Thurs – Fri off-no work
- Third week repeats back to first week schedule
- Note – schedule allows for not more than three 12 hour shifts in a row and averages 42 hrs./week over a two week schedule.
- 2nd Shift
- Monday - Friday 2:30 PM to 11 PM OR
- Mon-Thurs 4:30pm-3am & Fri-Sat 3pm-11:30pm
- 3rd Shift
- Sunday – Wednesday: 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM (10 Hours)
- Thursday & Friday: 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM (6.67 Hours)

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners with the use of small hand tools, such as pneumatic screwdrivers, etc.
- Refills stock of assembly materials, such as bolts, small machined parts, etc. as needed to maintain required productivity level.
- Assists with station breakdown and set-up as production requirements change.
- Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to ensure safe work methods.
- Completes work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 9000, and other safety training courses as prescribed.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as needed.
Specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. 1 month of related experience preferred.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Complete in satisfactory manner ISO 14001 and 9000, and other safety training courses as prescribed.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms to retrieve, grasp, or lift small parts or assembly items. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
