What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Counselor position at Still Waters Professional Counseling, Inc.?
Still Waters Professional Counseling, Inc. is seeking an Intake Counselors to provide services for Children and Adults in an area encompassing 4 counties within with in the state of Georgia Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Counselors will be required to do in home and office intake sessions with clients. The counselors will work with adults and children to promote optimum mental health. May help adults deal with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; and children with suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
- Complete assessments and biopsychosocials
- Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
- Evaluate clients physical or mental condition based on review of client information
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience
- Master’s Degree or currently enrolled in a Master's program
- Licensing Requirements: Pursuant of a license LPC, LCSW, LAMFT, LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT or working towards one of these licenses for office and in-home counseling and management positions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software quickly
