Position Summary

We are devoted to delivering complete customer satisfaction by way of respect, knowledge and teamwork.” We are seeking a Print Department Manager who lives by this challenge, recognizing that on the opposite side of each order likely a small business owner, chasing their version of the American dream.
As the Manager of our Custom Print Department, you will lead all aspects of a growing company’s production, planning, maintenance, and product expansion. Your current team is 18-20 employees and operates 5 digital print machines (further details below) across two shifts (1st & 2nd). The department prints custom designs on paper bags, stickers, jewelry cards, tags, boxes and more. You will drive business performance by improving production quality and efficiency while expanding product offerings to better serve our customers.
We currently operate in three main B2B industries: Small Business Supply, Auto Dealer Supply and Dog Grooming Supply. Our business serves customers though Ecommerce, call centers and outside sales. The print production team produces custom, on-demand printed supplies based on our customers’ businesses. We want our customers’ expectations exceeded so that we can grow together through our continued partnership.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership of the Print Department focused on producing high quality products efficiently
- Create a unified team through effective leadership, communication, team building, motivation, and recognition
- Access the training needs of the Print Department and oversee the training development and delivery to team members
- Work with the marketing team to identify new product offerings with current production equipment and identify equipment required to expand offerings
- Create, monitor, and act on key performance metrics to achieve department goals
- Manage the preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all equipment
- Monitor department performance and ensures adherence to quality standards and business guidelines
- Provide feedback to management on company trends, threats, needs and opportunities
- Act as a liaison between the Print Department and other divisions in the company.
- Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast for department
- Identify, recommends and acquire technology our equipment that can improve production, quality or efficiency of the department
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Results oriented, reliable and able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the demonstrating ability to communicate ideas to business leaders, subordinates and other teams
- Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
- Experience with Adobe, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Experience with Microsoft Office, digital design
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field
- 7-10 years of printing experience with 3 years of management experience preferred
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to Chief Operating Officer
- Regularly interfaces with the CEO and Departmental peers
