Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing auto service requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. If you have a passion for the automotive industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. Experience with CDK and SMARTT a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide them with a warm welcome to our service department

- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues

- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services based on automotive diagnostics

- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's workflow

- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs

- Upsell additional services and products to customers when appropriate

- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions

- Assist with tire service, oil changes, and other routine maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:

- Previous experience in auto service management or automotive sales is preferred

- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures

- Familiarity with tire service, oil changes, and other routine maintenance tasks

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in using computer software for auto estimating and invoicing purposes
