What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applications Developer I position at Stow?
Primary Purpose of Position:
Design, code, test, and support web-related applications to advance our strategy to provide the easiest to use, full-featured, productivity tools for our users. Participate in the full software development lifecycle within a team of top-notch developers and UX designers. Be part of a Scrum team that works closely with our end-users, and subject matter experts, to ensure that the software we build provides the best user experience possible.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Write clean, logical, high-quality code
- Work in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
- Be passionate about building the best applications to solve real-world problems
- Develop and maintain a variety of proprietary user-facing & in-house tools and systems
- Develop and maintain database systems employing best practices
- Continuous improvement of deployed systems
- Create beautiful, yet functional, web UI experiences (HTML 5/CSS/JavaScript)
- Perform back-end development and integration with internal/external systems

Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Inquisitive and passionate about learning, and driven to succeed
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Sitting at workstation approximately 80% percent of work time
- Standing and walking approximately 20% percent of work time
- Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces
- Position is located on-site
- Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends
The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions, and/or the capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.
