Job Summary:
The Director is responsible for the Food and Beverage leadership and strategic direction for our mountain dining experience. This leader needs to have a senior level of operations management experience with a solid ability to lead diverse teams within “best in class” food and beverage multi-unit environments. This leader will be out front and innovative, developing and supporting concepts to bring the resort brand vision to life. Strong ability to develop talent and build teams, strategic vision and solution oriented thinking are critical for success in this position. This position requires proven leadership experience in fine dining, quick serve, beverage menu development and a working knowledge of P&L statements.

- The budgeted range starts at $89,100 - $121,305 annual bonus equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Execute on the brand strategy for our fine dining & quick serve while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and guest service.
- Partner with Executive Chef, Managers and Hospitality leadership to ensure quality and service perfection.
- Ensure cost control, inventory management and labor efficiencies are in line or exceed outlet budget targets, including experience with P&L Build and develop a hardworking and engaged management team that is aligned with resort goals and culture while crafting a positive work environment.
- Adhere to company and regulatory compliance requirements to ensure compliance of state liquor laws and all health regulations including implementing sanitation and safety practices.
- In partnership with F&B managers, responsible for dining departmental strategies, revenue generation, branding of outlets, and future capital projects.
- Implement and execute Vail Resorts F&B SOP’s and Best Practices ensuring alignment across outlets.
- Drive the company’s Commitment to Zero initiative in recycling efforts and environmental sustainability.
- Partner with HR and finance on recruiting and hiring/workforce planning to reach desired staffing levels in order to achieve revenue and service goals.
- Excel in solving sophisticated business decisions and leading teams through change.
- Build positive relationships and leadership development for F&B teams.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, but prefer a 4-year college degree
- 5 years of Management experience with strong leadership growth and team development skills
- ServSafe and TIPS Certifications
- English proficiency.
- Strong leadership, diplomacy, communication and professionalism skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness
- Strong change management skills
Preferred:
- Microsoft Word, Excel and HR/Payroll systems required. PeopleSoft, Avero & Infogenesis
- 5 years of experience within a premium, fine dining environment, understanding guest expectations on quality, service and experience.
The expected pay range is $89,100 - $121,305 annual bonus equity. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
