What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Estimator position at STP?
Skilled Trades Partners (STP) is hiring a Lead Estimator in Middletown, CT. The ideal candidate will have previous experience estimating in the commercial construction field. This is a full-time salary exempt position with our client.
Our client is a family-owned and operated historic restoration and preservation company that specializes in general construction, masonry, stone window, doors and wood restoration since 1946 in the Connecticut area.
Responsibilities:
- Independent construction estimating of projects
- Able to read blueprints and project specifications
- Take-off, cost management and budgeting skills
- Managing projects from a cost perspective
- Knowledgable in construction materials
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years experience in construction and cost estimating
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CEP and PQS certifications are a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, OnScreen, TakeOff and/or PlanSwift is preferred
Salary $90k-$125K DOE Full Benefits!
