What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Consultant (FT) position at STRATEGIC HOLDINGS DIVERSIFIED MANAGEMENT?
We are looking for a Leasing Consultant to show our apartment units as future homes for prospective residents. We are seeking a talented, outgoing, and committed team player with excellent sales skills to join our team and to thrive in our high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Our Leasing Consultant position has the responsibility to maximize occupancy and effectively market the community. It requires the ability to handle day-to-day operations of the leasing office, provide excellent customer service, manage the leasing process and most importantly maintain a friendly and neighborly experience in the community.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Shows apartments, explains models and pricing, closes the sale, and processes rental applications accurately and in a timely manner
- Verifies applications, notifies applicants of approval or denial, collects deposits and/or fees associated with move-ins
- Assists with customer service and resident move-ins and move-outs to ensure smooth transitions
- Performs orientation with new residents and executes all necessary lease documents
- Assists in marketing efforts, including organizing and creating resident functions, newsletters and events
- Ensures leasing office, tour path, model and vacant apartments, amenities, and general curb appeal of community is clean and presentable
- Assists the Property Manager with compiling reports
- Maintains company customer service standards and a professional appearance
- Responds clearly and in a timely manner to residents' needs and complaints, following through to ensure resolution
- Oversees active marketing campaigns, conducts market analysis, and prepares market surveys
Qualifications:
- 2 years of successful apartment leasing experience preferred; will also consider 2 years of other strong sales experience (preferable in the hospitality industry)
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Knowledge of a variety of industry practices and procedures, including Fair Housing laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Google Drive
- Experience with AppFolio is a plus, but not necessary
- Warm, engaging, and outgoing personality and capability to easily connect with a wide variety of people
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Must have reliable transportation
