Job Opportunity – Validation/Testing Technician with Fameccanica in Cincinnati, OH

As the Validation/Testing Technician with Fameccanica, you will perform installation and start-up of web handling production machines/kits both internally and at the customer's plant, contributing to validate the agreed upon performance of the kit/line in terms of reliability and product quality. You will be expected to:

• Assist in the production and assembly of the machines
• Participate in Design Review activity in collaboration with the Design Team, with the objective to contribute to the appropriate set-up of the project, effectively addressing any possible technical and/or process issues
• Perform testing activities on machines/kits by applying the tools and working methodologies in order to ensure consistency, operational uniformity, and compliance with given standards and procedures
• Train the customer's technicians by transferring the appropriate knowledge to allow them to effectively operate the kit/machine according to contractual agreements
• Cooperate with Design and Process Engineers for collecting and reviewing issues and related technical solutions with the objective to contribute to continuous improvements.

To be considered you will have:

• Three to five years of experience in providing hands-on technical support on manufacturing equipment, preferably with web handling processing of films, non-wovens, fabric, elastics and/or similar materials
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, discuss, and understand technical and process needs
• Ability to work autonomously representing the company in front of the customer in a professional and positive manner
• Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery; to work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding; to manipulate heavy equipment, tools and supplies and/or exert 70 lbs; and to concurrently manipulate multiple controls and machinery
• Proven willingness and ability to adapt to changing requirements, timeline, and specifications, based on project needs

You must be able to travel to locations throughout the United States. You will be required to travel to customer sites up to 70%
