The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of our hardware services department (Depot Operations). This position oversees the proper receiving, inventorying, tracking, configuration, repair, and reporting of computer equipment inventory.
Responsibilities
- Train and oversee personnel to ensure tasks are performed properly
- Ensure all staff are trained and practice safe work practices compliant with OSHA
- Ensure all equipment is received and immediately inventoried
- Ensure the security and monitoring of warehouse facility
- Ensure staff follow procedures to fulfill tasks related to: equipment receipt and serial number tracking; equipment repair and testing; fulfillment of 3rd party warranty repairs; and configuration of new equipment to be shipped to customers
- Oversee regular physical inventory to ensure actual inventory matches the inventory tracking system
- Procure new equipment from vendors to ensure proper on-hand quantities are available for shipping
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse management/logistics role
- Experience with procurement activities, preferably with computer equipment
- Experience with inventory management principles
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
