Overview

The Director of Marketing and Sales Operations ensures Stratus' strategic marketing plans are aligned with our vision. Your Sales Marketing efforts will be focused on events (trade shows, customer engagement opportunities), direct marketing, lead gen, and all-around sales support on accounts, presentations, etc. Other responsibilities will include website management, digital marketing, market research and segmentation. This role reports into the Chief Customer Officer.

Responsibilities

Sales Marketing (50%)

  • Generates direct marketing list and provides vertical sales leads to Local, Regional and National sales 
  • Develop strategies for direct marketing campaigns, including direct mail, brochures, one-pagers, and print advertising 
  • Coordinate company presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, managing all aspects from booth design to promotional materials and follow-up strategies 
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with advertising contacts, industry influencers, and association/partner organizations to enhance our visibility and reputation in the market 
  • Establish audience/customer segmentation to tailor marketing efforts that address cross selling and new product growth 
  • Research industry trends and competitor strategies  
  • Manage brand consistency within operational documents, systems, physical locations, collateral, presentations, advertising, social media, campaigns (direct and digital), and tradeshows, etc. 

 

Sales Operations (30%)

  • Support sales in setting up meetings 
  • Offer logistics support for trade shows, events, conferences, etc. 
  • Administration of tools and systems: Salesforce, Zoom Info, LinkedIn, etc. 

 

Marketing Support (20%) 

  • Align marketing resources to support sales-driven organization 
  • Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research 
  • Leverages data along with creativity to develop effective and measurable marketing campaigns 
  • Develops strategies to increase sales or improve business results 
  • Works closely with Sales leadership on achieving pipeline growth targets 
  • Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management 
  • Works closely with the Product Development manager on launching new product and service offerings

  • Has extensive B2B manufacturing and service-based marketing experience.

Education, experience, certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • At least 10 years of relevant business experience including 5 years direct marketing and prior management experience.   
  • Preferred Certificate in Digital Marketing or Marketing Management

Physical and mental demands

  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Position may require working before or after regularly scheduled hours as business needs arise

Working Conditions

  • The primary work environment this position encounters includes the conditions found within a general office.
