What are the responsibilities and job description for the P&C Insurance Account Manager position at Street Smart?
Street Smart is an Independent Agency in Hamden, CT. We are seeking an experienced P&C licensed agent who is interested in not only developing and servicing an existing book of business but also quoting and binding new business. Our agency has business leads coming in from several referral sources, so this position is not an outside sales or producer position, however, it does require new business development once the leads are brought in. We are looking for someone who is experienced in quoting several companies on a comparative rater and enjoys working with prospective customers to find the best policies for them. This person needs to be extremely organized and driven to follow up with prospective customers.
This position will require work setting up customer marketing campaigns as well as customer text campaigns. Communication with customers via email, phone and text is required.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and can work independently, providing suggestions and ideas to bring up to the team. We are looking for someone who will strive to make connections with the customers that they service and create relationships with them. Customer retention is so important in our business.
At least 5 years of experienced with P&C insurance is required. Experience in an Independent Agency with a management system and comparative rater is highly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
