This role is crucial in empowering patients to effectively manage their diabetes through education, support, and personalized care. We are currently growing and expanding so we are looking to fill a registered dietitian position in Lake Mary, FL.

Responsibilities: .

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate medical nutrition therapy into the management of their patients with diabetes
• Communicates information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through documentation in the patient's medical record
• Develop and implement nutritional care plans
• Utilize a patient-centered approach to encourage and support individuals in making positive changes to their lifestyle, diet, and medication adherence.
• Provide high quality, evidence-based care to each patient
• Monitor, evaluate, and document the progress of patients in achieving their diabetes management goal
• Stay current with the most recent diabetes-related technology, trends, research, policy, and standards of care
• Utilize educational materials, technology, and other resources effectively to enhance patient understanding and engagement.
• Offer education to the patients both individually and in a group setting

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing diabetes education and counseling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
• Proficiency in using educational materials and technology for patient education
• Proficiency in diabetic-related medical technologies and software.
