What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Strive ABC?
Duties:
Provide 1:1 behavior aide services to school-age students
Support student in making progress toward indicated IEP goals
Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision and guidance of a BCBA/LEP
Collect data on various behaviors under the supervision and guidance of a BCBA/LEP
Correctly enter time daily on company approved time keeping system
Directly work with students include the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting, lifting, turning, reaching above shoulders, frequent physical transitions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Assist with self-care of children
Ability to engage in crisis management when needed, this may include redirecting or stopping physical or verbal aggression or other dangerous/self-injurious behavior
Build relationships with teachers, staff, colleagues, parents and the children being served
Maintain open and efficient communication with Strive ABC Supervisor
Attend staff meetings
Other duties as assigned
Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to give and receive feedback
Operate under the philosophy and vision of Strive ABC
Qualifications:
High school diploma (required)
Some experience working with children
Experience working with individuals with special or behavioral needs (preferred)
Must pass a DOJ Background/fingerprint clearance
Must be willing to attend paid training, including professional crisis management
Must be Available for Shifts: M-F, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (exact shift is dependent on school site hours) and once a month weekend staff meetings as well as Professional Crisis Management training one time per calendar year.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
