We seek a detail-oriented Accountant Receivables inidividual to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. Responsibilities will include performing account reconciliations, collections, chargeback reconciliation, check deposit and assist with other accounting duties as assigned.
Objectives of this role
- Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
- Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
- Collect payment from customers and generate report of weekly receivables forecast
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
- Reconcile payments with customer chargebacks and shortages.
- Communicate with customer A/P department and apply for refunds by submitting appropriate documentation.
- Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
- Update client accounts based on payment or contact information.
Skills and qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision and should perform under pressure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
