As a Staff Internal Auditor, you will assist with overseeing the full audit cycle, developing audit strategies, and creating solutions to make Stryker's financial process more effective. Our Audit department is continually striving for excellence, and you will also play a role in designing and implementing departmental initiatives to continue to advance our department as a world-class Internal Audit function and business partner to Stryker. Our Flower Mound, TX location is home to the Communications business as well as many corporate functions including our Finance Center of Excellence. Therefore, your networking and relationship building skills will be leveraged regularly as you interact with other departments across the company.
This is a hybrid role. The employee is expected to be physically present at our Stryker Flower Mound, TX location a minimum of one day per week. This position does offer relocation support.

What you will do
Support all phases of audit engagements and consulting projects, take ownership of your assigned areas from beginning to end
Work alongside members of our global team under the direction of a manager to scope and plan the audit, prepare for fieldwork, and learn about the business being audited
Travel to the location to execute the engagement (up to 25% travel expected)
Report audit findings internally to the department and externally to stakeholders
Support various company initiatives in a consulting capacity
What you need
Bachelor’s in accounting or finance required
2 years experience in accounting, audit or other relevant industry experience preferred
Pursuing CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred
Public accounting experience (Big Four preferred)
Familiarity with US-GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley Act requirements, COSO framework of internal controls and the IIA Professional Auditing Standards
Solid understanding of general IS and computing controls with impact on financial reporting
