What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Manager position at Studio McGee?
We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join the McGee & Co. team! In this role you will report to the VP of Production while working cross-functionally with the Product Development and Fulfillment Center teams. You’ll be responsible for leading the Logistics team’s strategic and tactical decision making to ensure the successful transportation of product. The ideal candidate is proactive, data driven and a strong manager.

Responsibilities: *
- Manage the department and strategy for logistics including supply chain and transportation supporting the manufacturing department
- Develop and lead a team to support on time and on budget deliveries
- Work with freight forwarders and fulfillment center on transportation
- Partner with product development for clear hand off and process communication
- Develop KPI’s and reporting standards to deliver analytics to support strategic decision
- Communicate supply chain trends influencing cross functional stakeholders
- Seek out optimization opportunities that supports financial plans
- Strategic decision making to support short- and long-term success
- Supervise legal and import compliance

Qualifications: *
- 5 years of experience in Logistics, Retail Supply Chain or Transportation in international operations
- Experience in retail and home décor preferred
- Experience managing and coaching direct reports
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, reporting and 3PL tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Able to self-direct, problem solve and be flexible in a start up environment
- Bonus: experience in Sustainability initiatives
