Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Uphold McGee & Co.’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Develop and maintain bottom-up merchandise plans that align with top-down financial targets for multiple product categories that support company and category strategies and achieve desired sales goals, inventory levels, turnover, and in-stock rates
- Lead monthly OTB meetings for designated categories
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional team members to execute overall brand and category strategy
- Reforecast sales, inventory, receipts on a weekly basis or as needed to accurately reflect shifts in the business
- Collaborate with Buying Team to support product strategies and vision to achieve the financial budgets/plans
- Analyze historical data, sales trends, pricing and promotion plans, inventory levels, markdowns, and budgets to provide recommended actions to improve the business
- Work with Buying Partners monthly to determine reorder quantities by style for designated categories
- Quantify in-season risks and opportunities and recommend actions that will maximize results
- Create hindsight reports including learnings and recommendations to drive strategic assortment decisions for future investment
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis that lead to data driven insights
Required Skillset:
- Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous Years of Related Experience
- 3-5 years in a Retail Planning or Merchandising role
- Specific Skill Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills are a must. Candidate must be able to navigate through large amounts of data using v-lookups, pivot tables, and a variety of formulas
- Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources into insights and recommendations
- Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Sense of urgency responding to internal and external customers.
- Organizational and time management skills; must have an ability to manage deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
- NetSuite experience is a plus
