What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Clerk position at STX Beef?
The Human Resource Clerk is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, on boarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Job Duties:
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Maintain records, reports and logs of programs, and other HR roles.
- Handles documentation for employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Recording changes on all employee status changes as necessary (e.g., change of address, departmental transfers, rate increases, terminations, etc.)
- Keeps daily logs of attendance call-in’s for absences, late’s, leaving early and notate the employee file with appropriate information. Make write up’s for employee’s attendance
- Termination log upkeep.
- Communicate with managers for salaried employee’s attendance.
- Employee Relations – Answer questions on policies, procedures, and programs.
- Answer phones for questions from employees, staff or visitors
- Employee meat orders. Makes sure that employees meat orders are filled out properly and are submitted to sales team.
- Accurate filing of employee records and/or excuses.
- Upkeep of vacation requests.
- Working hours are from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Attendance must be excellent.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, speak English
- Ability to speak Spanish is required.
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
- Ability to manage priorities in a multi-tasking environment effectively.
- Must demonstrate exceptional accuracy, keen attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills, and an affinity for data entry.
- Requires knowledge of standard office equipment such as a 10-key calculator, telephone, copy machine, and fax machine.
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field or 5 years HR experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
